- Patient Population: Neonates, including premature and critically ill infants (neonatal patients, neonatal critical care)
- Estimated Weekly Salary: $2,250 - $2,370/week
Qualifications / Job Requirements
- Minimum 2 years recent NICU RN experience; PICU experience required (neonatal and pediatric critical care)
- Active Michigan RN license (must be in hand at time of submission)
- Certifications: NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program), BLS, PALS
- Epic EMR / Epic charting experience preferred
- Experience in a Level I Trauma Center strongly preferred
- Ability to attend high-risk deliveries and provide immediate neonatal resuscitation and stabilization
- At least 2 professional references (one supervisory)
- Flu vaccine required (no exemptions)
Responsibilities
- Provide expert nursing care to neonates with complex medical and surgical needs in a Level IV NICU (neonatal nurse, NICU RN responsibilities)
- Attend high-risk deliveries and perform advanced neonatal resuscitation and stabilization (NRP)
- Float to the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) as needed (pediatric critical care support)
- Perform specialized procedures: IV insertion, central line and arterial line management, ventilator support
- Administer medications, blood products, and advanced therapies including ECMO, nitric oxide, and high-frequency ventilation
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver family-centered care
- Educate and support families through hospitalization and discharge planning
- Accurately document care using Epic EMR
