Family Medicine Physician | Virtualist (Bingham Farms)

We are seeking a highly skilled, experienced, and licensed family medicine or internal medicine/peds physician to join our innovative telehealth team. This virtual position focuses on providing top-tier acute care medical services through an online platform, enabling you to help patients from the comfort of your own environment. The ideal candidate has a passion for healthcare, a strong understanding of acute care medicine, and is adept at using technology to deliver high-quality care.

Responsibilities:

1. Provide virtual acute care consultations to patients through our telehealth platform.

2. Evaluate patient's health status, diagnose illnesses or conditions, and develop appropriate treatment plans.

3. Prescribe medications and therapies as needed, ensuring all prescriptions are safe and effective for patients' conditions.

4. Provide patient education to promote wellness and disease prevention.

5. Provide timely and efficient after visit follow up care with patients as appropriate.

6. Maintain accurate, detailed reports and records of patient's health status, medical history, and treatment plans.

7. Adhere to all medical and ethical guidelines to ensure the highest level of patient safety and confidentiality.

8. Participate in team meetings and provide feedback in a team centered approach.

9. Flexibility to work in shifts, during weekends, or on-call as required.

10. Stay abreast with advancements in medical technology and best practices in telehealth services.

11. Participate in continuous professional development and training programs to maintain current licensure and stay updated with the latest in acute care medicine.

Qualifications

• Strong in person/virtual care experience preferred ideally in an acute primary care/urgent care setting.
  
• Preferred background in continuity-based primary care / chronic care, or a demonstrated willingness to learn and develop skills in these areas.
  
• Demonstrates flexibility with work hours and a commitment to a team-based approach to patient care.
  
• Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) software and telemedicine platforms.
  
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  
• Strong diagnostic skills with a patient-centric approach.
  
• Ability to work independently, manage patients remotely, and make critical decisions even in a virtual setting.
  
• Commitment to comply with all legal guidelines and medical practices.
