Position Summary
The Medical Assistant plays a key role in supporting the physicians and healthcare providers at Pulse Primary Care. You will perform both clinical and administrative duties, ensuring that patients receive timely, efficient, and compassionate care. From assisting in medical procedures to managing front office tasks, you will help maintain the smooth operation of our clinics while fostering a welcoming environment for patients.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist healthcare providers with patient care, including exams, procedures, and preventative care services.
- Maintain efficient patient flow by preparing exam rooms, checking patients in, and managing appointment schedules.
- Perform clinical tasks, such as taking patient vitals, administering vaccinations, and processing lab tests under provider supervision.
- Manage front office tasks, including scheduling appointments, handling insurance forms, and answering phone calls when necessary.
- Ensure exam rooms are fully stocked with necessary supplies and equipment, placing orders as needed.
- Act as a liaison between the clinic, outside healthcare facilities, and insurance agencies.
- Stay up to date on clinic protocols and ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
- Provide cross-coverage for other departments or clinic locations as required.
- Deliver excellent customer service and contribute to an environment focused on patient-centered care.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Completion of a certified Medical Assistant program or equivalent training preferred.
- Prior experience in a healthcare setting, especially in a primary care environment, is a plus.
- Current CPR certification or willingness to obtain upon hire.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills.
- Proficient in EMR systems and general computer usage.
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Compassionate, empathetic, and strong communication skills with a focus on patient-centered care.
- Bilingual skills (if applicable) are a plus.

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM, no weekends or holidays
