Salary Range: $56,000 - $88,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze blueprints, specifications, and other documentation to prepare accurate cost estimates.
• Calculate material, labor, equipment, and overhead costs for manufacturing projects.
• Collaborate with engineering, production, and sales teams to understand project requirements and manufacturing processes.
• Obtain and evaluate quotes from suppliers for raw materials, components, and outsourced services.
• Develop and present detailed, competitive proposals and quotes to customers.
• Maintain and update a database of cost data, supplier pricing, and historical project information.
• Identify potential risks, cost-saving opportunities, and alternative manufacturing methods.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proven experience (3-5+ years) as an Estimator in a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, material costs, labor rates, and overhead.
• Advanced proficiency with estimating software, ERP systems, and Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.

Bonus Qualifications

• Proficiency with CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) or ERP systems.
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing principles or process improvement methodologies.
• Direct experience in supply chain management or procurement.
• Strong data analysis skills, including proficiency with advanced Excel or business intelligence tools.
