Salary Range: $57,000 - $87,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of machinists, providing technical guidance and support.
• Operate, program, and set up advanced CNC machinery and conventional equipment.
• Ensure all manufactured parts meet strict quality standards and specifications through inspection.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex machining issues, optimizing processes for efficiency and accuracy.
• Collaborate with engineering and production to interpret blueprints and optimize manufacturing methods.
• Oversee routine machine maintenance and coordinate major repairs to minimize downtime.
• Contribute to production planning and scheduling to meet output targets and deadlines.

Recommended Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on experience as a CNC Machinist, with at least 2 years in a lead or supervisory capacity.
• Expert proficiency in CNC programming (G-code, M-code), setup, operation, and troubleshooting of multi-axis milling and turning centers.
• Advanced ability to interpret complex engineering blueprints, schematics, and apply Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) principles.
• Proven leadership and mentoring skills, including training junior machinists, delegating tasks, and optimizing shop workflow.
• Strong understanding of quality control procedures and proficient use of precision measuring instruments (e.g., micrometers, calipers, CMM).

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with advanced CAM programming (e.g., 5-axis, complex surfacing)
• Proficiency in CMM operation and interpretation of inspection results
• Demonstrated ability to perform minor machine maintenance and troubleshooting
• Familiarity with Lean manufacturing principles or continuous improvement methodologies
• Experience in fixture or tooling design
