About the role

We are a creative agency + podcast studio in Metro Detroit. You will spend most of your time designing for brands, web, and social. You will also help with social media management and studio coordination at PodLab. Think 70 percent creative work, 30 percent studio and admin support.

What you will do

• Design first - brand assets, logos, social graphics, web visuals, ad creatives, one-pagers, pitch decks, thumbnails

• Social media - prep and schedule posts, write short captions, keep feeds on brand, track simple metrics

• Content support - trim short-form clips, basic motion, pull stills and thumbnails

• PodLab studio ops - greet clients, answer calls, set and reset sets, sanity-check mics and teleprompter, organize files after sessions

• Admin flow - organize assets, maintain simple project checklists, keep the client experience smooth

• ChatGPT - this is a huge plus for those that are familiar with chatgpt, midjourney etc.

You are

• A strong graphic designer with a portfolio that proves taste, layout, and brand thinking

• Fluent in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign

• Comfortable in Premiere Pro or CapCut for shorts (not necessary but willing to learn basics)

• Solid with social formatting for Reels, TikTok, YouTube thumbnails, carousels

• Professional on the phone, friendly in person, reliable under deadlines

• Willing to work the occasional evening or weekend when shoots require it

Nice to have (not necessary)
Figma or Canva, WordPress or Elementor basics, Shopify basics, light photo or camera familiarity, After Effects, audio or livestream exposure

Details

• Type - contract to start, 1099

• Schedule - part-time ramp with path to more hours based on performance

• Pay - based on portfolio strength and experience, commission opportunities on upsells

• Growth - 30-60-90 day reviews with clear goals and raise potential
