Automotive Automation Integration Project Coordinator
Job Description
Job Description
Automotive Automation Integration Project Coordinator
Location: Pontiac, MI
Employment Type: Contract to Direct
You won’t be chained to a desk in this role. Your day starts on the plant floor, moving between weld cells and build areas, checking on tool deliveries, confirming timing plans, and closing out open issues with cross-functional teams. You’ll be the connective tissue between Program Managers, manufacturing operations, and customers—keeping programs organized and on schedule in a fast-moving automotive automation environment.
What you’ll do- Partner with Program Managers to execute active integration and installation programs day-to-day.
- Track timelines, deliverables, and open issues across multiple sites to keep projects advancing.
- Own the upkeep of project documentation, including timing plans, risk and escalation logs, and issue-resolution trackers.
- Capture and circulate meeting notes, action items, and concise status updates to stakeholders.
- Build and maintain tool-tracking matrices to monitor fabrication progress and delivery dates.
- Provide clear, consistent updates to internal teams and customers on program health.
- Assist in preparing presentations for customer reviews and formal program updates.
- Jump in with light shop-floor coordination and assembly support when needed.
- 1–3 years of experience in a professional or manufacturing setting.
- High School Diploma or GED required; technical training or a related degree preferred.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office; advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, trackers) strongly preferred.
- Exposure to program management, automation, tooling, or assembly environments is helpful.
- Familiarity with welding processes is a plus.
- Exceptionally organized with sharp attention to detail.
- Clear communicator with strong follow-through.
- Self-directed and comfortable working with minimal supervision.
- Calm under shifting priorities and changing timelines.
- Proactive problem solver who anticipates issues before they escalate.
On-site support across Paslin facilities (Hoover, 10 Mile, Cherry Creek). Flexibility to work at any location as project needs evolve.
- Schedule may vary by project: Monday–Thursday, 6:00 AM–4:30 PM; and/or Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM–2:30 PM.
- Occasional early mornings, late hours, or weekend support as required by program milestones.
- Regular standing, walking, bending, and movement on the shop floor.
This is an excellent early-career opportunity to gain hands-on exposure to program execution, manufacturing operations, and customer-facing project support—while directly impacting integration and installation success on the plant floor.
