The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze and report on manufacturing costs, variances, and profitability.
• Develop and maintain standard costs for materials, labor, and overhead.
• Perform inventory valuation and reconcile perpetual inventory records.
• Conduct detailed variance analysis, identifying root causes and recommending corrective actions.
• Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts related to production costs.
• Provide accurate product costing for pricing decisions and margin analysis.
• Support month-end close activities, ensuring accurate cost of goods sold and inventory reporting.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in cost accounting, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of standard costing, variance analysis, inventory valuation, and bill of materials (BOM).
• Proficiency with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Demonstrated ability to analyze complex financial data and provide actionable insights.

Bonus Qualifications

• Advanced proficiency in data analysis and visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
• Experience with ERP system implementation or module configuration related to costing (e.g., SAP CO, Oracle Cost Management).
• Knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles or Six Sigma methodologies.
• Proficiency in SQL for data extraction and reporting.
