Salary Range: $76,000 - $116,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We partner with manufacturers across Montague seeking Tooling Engineers who want more than a lateral move. These companies hire intentionally, and we connect them with professionals ready for roles that fit.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and modify manufacturing tools, dies, jigs, and fixtures.
• Perform routine maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of existing tooling.
• Optimize tooling processes and designs to improve efficiency, quality, and reduce costs.
• Collaborate with production, design, and quality teams to implement tooling solutions.
• Conduct root cause analysis for tooling failures and implement corrective actions.
• Manage tooling projects from initial concept through design, fabrication, and implementation.
• Evaluate and select appropriate tooling materials, equipment, and external vendors.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 3-5+ years of experience in tooling design, manufacturing, or maintenance.
• Proficiency in CAD/CAM software for tooling design and analysis.
• Strong knowledge of tooling materials, manufacturing processes (e.g., machining, injection molding, stamping), and GD&T.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot tooling issues, optimize performance, and improve manufacturing efficiency.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with advanced simulation software (e.g., FEA, mold flow analysis).
• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification.
• Proficiency in additive manufacturing techniques for tooling applications.
• Project management experience leading tooling development projects.
