Salary Range: $56,000 - $90,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and write CNC programs for multi-axis milling machines using CAM software.
• Analyze engineering drawings, specifications, and 3D models to determine machining strategies.
• Select appropriate cutting tools, holders, and workholding devices.
• Optimize tool paths, feeds, and speeds to enhance efficiency and part quality.
• Perform program verification and simulation to identify potential issues and ensure collision avoidance.
• Create detailed setup sheets, tool lists, and operational instructions for machine operators.
• Collaborate with machinists and engineers to troubleshoot programs and improve manufacturability.

Recommended Qualifications

• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in CNC mill programming within a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency with industry-standard CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, SolidCAM, Fusion 360) and CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks).
• Expertise in G-code and M-code programming for 3-axis and multi-axis CNC milling machines.
• Strong ability to read and interpret complex engineering blueprints, including Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
• Comprehensive knowledge of machining principles, tooling selection, and workholding strategies.
• Demonstrated ability to optimize machining processes for efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with 5-axis CNC programming.
• Proficiency in G-code simulation and verification software (e.g., Vericut).
• Ability to design custom fixtures and tooling using CAD software.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
