Product Realization & Process Optimization Engineer

What your week could look like

Based in South Haven, MI, you’ll split time between CAD-driven design work and hands-on collaboration with our production teams. Early in the week, you’ll translate customer requirements into robust product concepts, building detailed 3D models and 2D drawings. Midweek, you’ll walk the floor with manufacturing, fine-tuning routings and improving yield. By Friday, you’ll close the loop—reviewing feasibility and cost models, sharing findings in design reviews, and setting up the next round of process improvements.

Your impact

• Engineer and refine product designs that satisfy customer specifications and comply with relevant industry standards.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to elevate manufacturing efficiency, throughput, and quality.
• Evaluate new opportunities through feasibility assessments and cost analysis to support sound go/no-go decisions.
• Build precise CAD models and drawings to communicate intent and enable manufacturability.
• Lead root cause investigations and implement corrective and preventive actions for process issues.
• Contribute technical guidance during design reviews to de-risk launches and changes.
• Track market and technology trends to spark innovation in both product and process.

What you’ll bring

• Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
• 2+ years in a combined design and process engineering capacity.
• Fluency with CAD (SolidWorks, AutoCAD preferred).
• Strong analytical mindset and practical problem-solving approach.
• Clear communicator with a collaborative working style.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes and quality control principles.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple concurrent projects to deadlines.

Core proficiency

• Comfort with basic computer skills and everyday productivity tools.

Your toolbox

• 3D modeling in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or Autodesk Fusion 360.
• Creation and interpretation of 2D engineering drawings.
• CAD platforms (AutoCAD, SolidWorks).
