Calibration Technician | Whitehall, MI

Salary Range: $48,000 - $74,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine calibration, adjustment, and repair of various measurement and test equipment (M&TE).
• Maintain accurate and organized calibration records and documentation in accordance with quality standards.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with malfunctioning instrumentation and test equipment.
• Ensure all calibrated equipment complies with internal specifications and external regulatory requirements (e.g., ISO, NIST traceability).
• Develop, review, and update calibration procedures and work instructions.
• Manage and maintain calibration schedules and recall systems for all applicable equipment.
• Collaborate with production and engineering teams to support equipment validation and new equipment integration.

Recommended Qualifications

• Associate's degree in a technical field (e.g., metrology, electronics, instrumentation) or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years of experience in calibration, metrology, or a related technical role within manufacturing.
• Proficient understanding of calibration principles, measurement uncertainty, and industry standards (e.g., ISO 17025).
• Demonstrated ability to operate, troubleshoot, and calibrate a variety of test and measurement equipment.
• Strong documentation skills and experience with calibration management software.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and procedures.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with calibration management software (e.g., IndySoft, Beamex, Maximo)
• Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma principles
• Basic understanding of electronics and circuit theory
• Knowledge of Statistical Process Control (SPC) for data analysis
