Travel Consultant

Spiekermann Travel, a leader in expert-led cultural and adventure travel, is seeking a Travel Consultant to join our small, dedicated team in our Eastpointe office location. This role is ideal for someone who loves exploring the world, values cultural understanding, and thrives in an environment where organization, service, and teamwork are essential. About the Role The Travel Consultant will work closely with leadership to support daily operations, client communication, team coordination, and the smooth execution of our specialty tours. This is a semi-full-time (approx. 20-25 hours/week) position with flexible scheduling, making it an excellent fit for a highly motivated professional seeking meaningful work in the travel industry without a rigid 40-hour structure. Key Responsibilities Support and coordinate day-to-day operations of the company Communicate professionally with clients, partners, and team members Assist with tour planning, logistics, and guest preparation Maintain organized systems, files, and workflows Participate in customer service tasks, including answering inquiries and guiding travelers through the booking process Collaborate on marketing efforts and client outreach as needed Contribute to a positive, supportive, and efficient team environment Who We're Looking For Passion for travel, world cultures, and learning Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities Strong interpersonal and communication skills, comfort interacting with clients and a teamwork mentality Friendly, adaptable, and self-directed Prior experience in travel, operations, hospitality, or customer service is a plus, but not required Familiarity with office tools (email, calendars, documents, CRM systems) Hours & Compensation Approximately 20-25 hours per week Flexible schedule hours can be adjusted around personal obligations Competitive compensation commensurate with experience To Apply Please send a resume and a brief note sharing why you would be a great fit and how your passion for travel and culture aligns with the work we do.
