Job purpose
The IT Manager is responsible for overseeing the IT operations at out Auburn Hills locations., ensuring alignment with the global IT strategy and standards. This role involves managing local IT resources, providing technical support, and ensuring the seamless delivery of global IT services. The IT Manager will act as the primary liaison between the local site and the global IT organization, ensuring that local needs are met while adhering to global policies and procedures.
Key responsibilities
- Oversee daily IT operations at the local site, ensuring systems are running smoothly and efficiently.
- Manage local IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and end-user devices.
- Ensure compliance with global IT policies, standards, and applications
- Coordinate technical support to local users, resolving issues promptly and effectively.
- Coordinate with global IT support teams to escalate and resolve issues.
- Maintain an up-to-date inventory of IT assets and ensure proper documentation.
- Lead local IT projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
- Collaborate with global IT teams on the implementation of global projects at the local site.
- Monitor project progress and report on status to the Regional IT Director.
- Manage relationships with local IT vendors and service providers.
- Ensure services are delivered as per agreements.
- Evaluate vendor performance and make recommendations for improvements.
- Ensure the local site adheres to global IT security policies and procedures.
- Supervise and mentor local IT staff [if any, eg Site Technicians], providing guidance and support. Conduct performance reviews and identify training needs. Foster a collaborative and productive work environment.
- Manage local IT financials - Budget, Fcst, Actuals
- Regular update of IT Performance to the stakeholders – plant management
- Provide VIP support for Strategy board executives
What we're looking for
- Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology
- 10+ years of related experience including People Leadership
Salary Range:
