Cyber Security Threat Management Specialist

Akkodis is seeking a Cyber Security Threat Management Specialist for a Contract with a client in Dearborn, MI (Hybrid). The ideal candidate is focused on protecting enterprise assets through proactive threat detection, ethical hacking, and risk mitigation strategies.

Rate Range: $60/hour to $68/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Cyber Security Threat Management Specialist Job Responsibilities include:

• Conduct in-depth threat and vulnerability assessments using threat modeling, attack analysis, and global intelligence data to identify and mitigate cyber risks.

• Monitor security threats and system performance through security tools, maintaining controls and automating health checks across information assets.

• Plan and execute penetration testing and ethical hacking activities, documenting findings and recommending effective remediation strategies.

• Triage and respond to security incidents and escalations, coordinating resolution actions for cyber and insider threats.

• Develop, implement, and communicate encryption standards, authentication solutions, and access controls across diverse platforms.

• Collaborate with business and technical teams to deliver security training, improve security awareness, and deploy scalable security solutions.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related technical field (or equivalent experience).

• Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in cybersecurity, threat assessment, or vulnerability management roles.

• Proven expertise in conducting threat modeling, penetration testing, and ethical hacking, with the ability to define and execute remediation strategies.

• Strong experience implementing security controls, encryption standards, and monitoring solutions while collaborating with business and technical teams to mitigate cyber risks.

Pay Details: $60.00 to $68.00 per hour
