Medical assistant

Duties

Assist the providers with room calls, procedures etc.
Room patients and record vitals, history and medications in the EMR.
Administer medications using the double verification method.

Prepare patients for examinations and procedures
Collect and process laboratory specimens
Perform Experience in Medical administrative support in an OB/GYN office required
Knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy
Proficiency in medication administration techniques
Familiarity with coding and billing practices in a healthcare setting
Experience providing patient care in a hospital or clinical setting is a plus

Skills:
- Strong patient care skills with the ability to provide compassionate and empathetic care is a must
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, healthcare professionals, and other staff members
- Proficient in medical terminology and understanding of anatomy
- Knowledge of medication administration techniques and dosage calculations
- Familiarity with coding and billing practices in a healthcare setting is preferred
- Ability to provide medical administrative support including scheduling appointments, maintaining patient records, and managing insurance claims
