Position Details:
Title: Regulatory Affairs Specialist
Position Type: 1 year contract with additional opportunity contingent upon performance and continued business need
Job Location : Madison Heights, MI
Shift: 1st shift
Benefits : 401K, Dental insurance, Life Insurance, Medical Insurance, Vision Insurance, PTO
Compensation : $26/HR
Responsibilities:
- Ensure customers and employees are informed about the health and safety characteristics of products and raw materials
- Verify products comply with applicable federal, state, county, regional, and local regulations
- Prepare and provide Safety Data Sheets (SDSs) and label warning statements in a timely manner
- Assess developmental materials, chemical substances, and formulations for health, safety, transportation, and disposal considerations
- Maintain current knowledge of regulatory and toxicological information
- Develop and maintain strong knowledge of company products, chemistries, and processes
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biology, Toxicology, or related field required
- Experience in a professional business environment preferred
- Knowledge of OSHA, TSCA, RCRA, and export regulations highly desirable
- Strong ability to manage multiple projects and communicate updates effectively to senior staff
- Excellent written, verbal, and computer skills required
- SAP experience preferred
- Background in Industrial Chemical Regulatory Affairs preferred
Comments
- Ideal experience includes SAP experience
- Experience with TSCA/DSL regulations preferred
- SDS and label authoring experience preferred
