JH English Language Arts Teacher (6th-8th)

26-27 School Year

Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced English Language Arts (ELA) Teacher for the 26-27 academic year. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching ELA classes to junior high school students at Coloma Junior High School. This is a full-time position and requires a commitment to providing quality education to students.



Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement lesson plans that align with the state standards and meet the needs of diverse learners
• Use a variety of instructional strategies and resources to engage students in learning
• Assess and evaluate student learning and provide feedback to students and parents
• Collaborate with other teachers and staff to develop and implement school-wide initiatives
• Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and progress
• Communicate regularly with parents and guardians about student progress and academic performance
• Participate in school and district professional development activities

• Bachelor's degree in education from an accredited college or university
• Valid teaching certificate endorsement BX, BA or BQ and secondary area of certification preferred
• Experience teaching junior high school students preferred
• Knowledge of state standards and best practices in ELA instruction
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners
• Commitment to ongoing professional development and growth
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
