Contract Duration: 12 weeks (Renewable)
Schedule: 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM (Mid‑Shift)
Pay Rate: $45–$46 per hour (based on experience)

Job Summary

Huron Valley Sinai Hospital is seeking an experienced Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) with at least 1 year of recent, relevant laboratory experience for a 12‑week renewable contract . This role supports diagnostic testing during the mid‑shift (3:00 PM – 11:00 PM) and plays a critical role in ensuring timely, accurate laboratory results in a hospital setting.Key Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

• Collect, label, process, and analyze patient specimens in accordance with hospital protocols
• Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory equipment and instrumentation
• Perform and document quality control procedures to ensure accuracy and compliance
• Review, verify, and report laboratory test results in a timely manner
• Adhere to laboratory safety standards, infection control practices, and CLIA regulations
• Communicate effectively with laboratory staff, physicians, and other healthcare professionals
• Maintain accurate records within the laboratory information system (LIS)

Required Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher in Medical Laboratory Technology or related field
• Minimum 1 year of recent experience as a Medical Laboratory Technician
• ASCP, AMT, or equivalent certification (as required by facility)
• Knowledge of laboratory safety, quality control, and regulatory requirements
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently during mid‑shift hours

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior hospital or acute care laboratory experience
• Experience working afternoon or evening shifts
• Familiarity with automated lab equipment and LIS platforms

Compensation & Benefits

• Hourly pay: $45–$46/hour (W‑2)
• Overtime paid in accordance with federal and Michigan labor laws
• Workers’ compensation and unemployment insurance coverage

Employment Requirements

• Successful completion of background check and drug screening per hospital policy
