POSITION SUMMARY
The Supply Chain Operations Coordinator position is within the Venture Command and Control department. The analyst is responsible for tendering shipments through the TMS system, track and trace of loads, as well as shipment optimization. This position is in a fast-paced environment and requires the individual to be able to effectively multitask. Prior trucking/transportation experience including dispatching of drivers is beneficial.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS FOR THIS POSITION:
- Tender shipments utilizing TMS system in a manner that optimizes and consolidates loads to meet customer demands and maximize efficiency and profit.
- Update customers on the status of loads.
- Follow-up and communicate status of shipments to ensure on-time customer delivery requirements are met.
- Managing inbound and outbound freight flow to meet customer demands and maximize efficiency and profit.
- Identify issues affecting service levels and take appropriate action to resolve.
- Regular and predictable attendance.
OTHER SIGNIFICANTJOB FUNCTIONS INCLUDE:
- Comply with company policies and procedures and all applicable laws and regulations.
- Additional duties as assigned.
REQUIRED EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree with 1 – 3 year of Dispatch experience.
PREFERRED EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
- Prior transportation/dispatch experience desired.
REQUIRED SKILLS (TECHNICAL, CLERICAL, LANGUAGE, ETC.)
- Must have good communication skills.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Word and Excel.
