IATF Quality Engineer | DeWitt, MI
Salary Range: $77,000 - $111,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development, implementation, and maintenance of the Quality Management System (QMS) in accordance with IATF 16949 requirements.
- Conduct internal process, product, and system audits to ensure compliance with IATF 16949 and customer specific requirements.
- Drive Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) and Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) activities for new and changed products/processes.
- Facilitate and implement robust root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions using IATF-recognized methodologies (e.g., 8D, 5 Whys).
- Develop, maintain, and review FMEAs, Control Plans, and other quality documentation to ensure adherence to IATF standards.
- Monitor and improve key quality performance indicators (KPIs) through statistical process control (SPC) and measurement system analysis (MSA).
- Liaise with customers on quality issues, ensuring timely resolution and compliance with customer specific requirements and IATF standards.
Recommended Qualifications
- In-depth knowledge and practical application of IATF 16949:2016 standard.
- Proficiency in core automotive quality tools (APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, MSA).
- Demonstrated expertise in problem-solving methodologies (e.g., 8D, 5 Whys, Ishikawa, A3).
- Solid understanding of manufacturing processes and process control techniques.
- Strong statistical analysis skills, including use of statistical software (e.g., Minitab).
- Experience conducting internal or external IATF 16949 audits.
Bonus Qualifications
- Lean Six Sigma Green or Black Belt Certification
- Project Management Professional (PMP) or similar certification
- Certified Quality Auditor (CQA) or IATF 16949 Lead Auditor certification
- Proficiency with advanced statistical analysis software (e.g., Minitab, JMP)
