Position Overview
We’re looking for a reliable and skilled  Facilities Technician  to support our  Facilities Manager  in keeping Hotel Royal Oak running at its best. This role is a mix of preventative maintenance, day-to-day repairs, and responding quickly to guest room issues. You’ll work across all areas of the property to ensure our guests enjoy a safe, comfortable, and flawless stay.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance tasks as scheduled by the Facilities Manager
• Respond promptly to guest room maintenance issues (plumbing, electrical, HVAC, furniture, etc.)
• Support upkeep of hotel systems, equipment, and building infrastructure
• Assist with fire safety, and building compliance checks
• Monitor and report maintenance needs and supply levels to the Facilities Manager
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in the workshop and storage areas
• Partner with the front desk and housekeeping teams to address guest concerns efficiently
• Follow safety standards and ensure all work meets brand quality guidelines

Requirements

Qualifications

• Previous experience in general maintenance, facilities, or trades (hotel/hospitality experience preferred but not required)
• Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and HVAC systems
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Ability to multitask and work independently or under direction
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Availability for full-time hours, with flexibility for occasional weekends or evenings if emergencies arise
• Reliable, professional, and guest-focused attitude
