Bachelor's or Master's degree in School Psychology, active School Psychologist license and minimum 1+ years School Psychologist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
This opportunity is for experienced School Psychologists to provide essential psychological services for students in kindergarten through 12th grade within Monroe County, Michigan. This contract position runs from August 12, 2026, to June 2, 2027, with four openings available. The ideal candidates will bring a strong background in school psychology and hold a valid Michigan School Psychologist license.
Work will be onsite across multiple public school locations, including Monroe Public Schools (2 sites), Dundee, Jefferson, and Airport schools. The role requires a commitment of 37.5 hours per week throughout the school year. Candidates with prior experience in school settings are preferred to effectively support a diverse student population.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychological assessments and evaluations for students from K-12.
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and support staff to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
- Provide counseling, crisis intervention, and behavior support strategies.
- Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and contribute professional expertise.
- Maintain accurate documentation and comply with state and federal regulations.
Qualifications:
- Valid Michigan School Psychologist license (verification required).
- Experience working within K-12 educational settings preferred.
- Strong knowledge of psychological assessment tools and interventions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work onsite at the assigned school locations.
