Salary Range: $51,000 - $78,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Perform calibration, verification, and preventative maintenance of measurement equipment and gages.
• Operate and program Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs) and other advanced metrology instruments.
• Analyze measurement data, identify deviations, and generate detailed inspection reports.
• Troubleshoot and repair measurement instruments, fixtures, and systems.
• Interpret complex engineering drawings, specifications, and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
• Develop, document, and maintain calibration procedures and work instructions.
• Provide technical support to production and quality teams on measurement techniques and equipment usage.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proficiency in operating and programming Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs) and other precision measurement equipment (e.g., calipers, micrometers, optical comparators).
• Strong understanding and practical application of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) principles.
• Ability to read, interpret, and work from complex engineering blueprints, schematics, and specifications.
• Experience with calibration procedures, measurement uncertainty, and maintaining traceability of measurement standards.
• Familiarity with metrology software packages (e.g., PC-DMIS, Calypso) and data analysis tools.
• Associate's degree in Metrology, Engineering Technology, or a related technical field, or equivalent work experience.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with non-contact measurement systems (e.g., laser scanning, vision systems, structured light).
• Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, CATIA) for model-based inspection or CMM programming.
• Familiarity with Statistical Process Control (SPC) principles and software applications in a manufacturing context.
• ASQ Certified Calibration Technician (CCT) or other relevant metrology certification.
