ER RN Job Details

• Location: Battle Creek, Michigan 49017
• Healthcare Setting: Emergency Room (ER), 38 beds, 32 rooms
• Assignment Length: 16 weeks (Start: 09/22/2025 – End: 01/12/2026)
• Shift: Night shifts, 3x12-hour (19:00 – 07:00), every other weekend required
• Hours per Week: 36
• Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $1,860 - $1,910
• Patient Ratio: 1:4
• Documentation System: EPIC
• Medication System: Pyrix
• Orientation: 24 hours (includes 8 hours of modules)

ER Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active and valid Michigan RN license
• Minimum 1 year of recent Emergency Room RN experience
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Required certifications: ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA), NIHSS, PALS, TNCC
• Preferred certification: CPI
• Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions accepted)
• Must be available for the first 8 days of assignment
• Professional references required

ER Nurse Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality emergency nursing care to neonates, pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients
• Perform triage, assessment, and rapid intervention for trauma, cardiac, respiratory, mental health, and other acute conditions
• Administer medications, manage IVs, and perform conscious/procedural sedation
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including physical therapy, respiratory therapy, radiology, pharmacy, and social services
• Accurately document patient care using EPIC electronic medical records
• Float to other hospital units as needed
• Comply with hospital policies regarding holiday time off and scheduling
