GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
The Human Resources Generalist/Recruiter is responsible for performing HR-related duties. This position requires a strong background in Recruitment, as well as carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas: benefits administration, employee relations, training, performance management, onboarding, policy implementation.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Administers and coordinates benefits but not limited to medical/dental/vision/STD/life insurance/retirement, etc.
- Audits invoices related to benefits to ensure accuracy as it regards HR services.
- Completes monthly/quarterly/annual background checks to ensure compliance.
- Back-up Facilitator for New Employee Orientation.
- Maintains accurate staff rosters and updates in the HRIS when needed.
- Runs reports and analyzes HR data for accuracy and efficiency.
- Processes new hires.
- Tracks employees’ licensures/certifications to ensure compliance.
- Completes regulatory agencies’ audits as requested.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
RECRUITMENT:
- Manages the agency's recruitment and selection efforts.
- Partner with hiring managers to understand job requirements/candidate profiles.
- Source, screen, and shortlist qualified candidates using various channels (job boards, social media, professional networks, etc.).
- Conduct initial interviews to assess candidates’ skills, experience, and cultural fit.
- Provide a positive candidate experience thru clear communication & feedback.
- Schedule and coordinate interviews with hiring teams.
- Negotiate offers and manage onboarding processes.
- Develop recruitment strategies to attract diverse and high-caliber talent.
- Maintain a robust talent pipeline for current and future staffing needs.
- Represent the company at career fairs, networking events, and other recruitment-related activities.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field required.
- Three (3) years of recent advanced Human Resources experience required.
- Experience working in non-profit, public health sector or community mental health setting is preferred.
- Proven background in recruitment and knowledgeable of best practices.
- Experience with Paycom highly preferred.
- Experience with regulatory agencies’ audits (i.e., DWIHN, HRSA, MDHHS, EEOC, etc.) highly preferred.
- Strong analytical and attention to detail skills are required
- Excellent communication skills, including the ability to communicate with diverse partners and audiences.
- Must be adept at managing multiple tasks and meeting critical deadlines.
- Ability to strategically think, analyze and problem solve effectively.
