Facilities Manager | DeWitt, MI

Salary Range: $85,000 - $130,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the maintenance and repair of all manufacturing equipment, machinery, and facility infrastructure.
• Develop and manage the annual facilities budget, controlling costs and optimizing resource allocation.
• Ensure strict compliance with all health, safety, environmental (HSE), and regulatory standards for the site.
• Implement and manage preventative maintenance programs to minimize downtime and extend asset lifespan.
• Manage relationships with external contractors, vendors, and service providers for facility-related projects and services.
• Plan and execute facility improvement projects, including renovations, expansions, and new equipment installations.
• Optimize utility consumption and waste management practices to support sustainable manufacturing operations.

Recommended Qualifications

• 5+ years of facilities management experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong technical knowledge of industrial building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing) and preventative maintenance programs.
• Proven experience with OSHA regulations, environmental compliance, and building codes pertinent to manufacturing.
• Demonstrated ability to manage facility projects, capital improvements, and operational budgets.
• Experience leading maintenance teams and managing external vendors or contractors.

Bonus Qualifications

• Certification in Lean Six Sigma or other continuous improvement methodologies.
• Experience with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) implementation or optimization.
• OSHA 30-hour certification or equivalent advanced safety training.
• Proven experience with energy management systems and sustainability initiatives.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD or similar CAD software for space planning and layout management.
