Production Coordinator

JOB SUMMARY

The Production Coordinator will lead, coordinate, and facilitate the pit process and functions to meet the shift-to-shift goals for the mine in coordination of long-term plans.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Able to perform the essential functions of the position according to the Physical Demands Analysis

Establish and maintain a safe work environment and best practices. Encourage and support safety processes and foster safety-first atmosphere Ensure that all company policies/procedures are followed along with state and federal laws Conduct investigations, issue discipline as appropriate and necessary Execute daily mine plan addressing issues as necessary Supervise pit crews and manage time records in the appropriate system Understand and manage coal quality to meet or exceed customer contracts Conduct incident investigations and reporting Ensure that a competent and skilled workforce exists in Operations Department Establish effective communications programs by preparing for start of shift, CMPP meeting, passing information along on mine plan, maintenance needs and other information necessary for success Drive continuous improvement Monitor key performance indicators (KPI s) and communicating information to the crew Implement an innovative production environment to foster safety, learning and a team atmosphere within the crew. Guide teams to identify production deficiencies and where improvements can be made, and aid in implementation. Facilitate training to ensure a workforce will be successful. Set and monitor performance standards, emphasis on team involvement, responsibility, accountability, and empowerment within team boundaries. Perform dispatching duties among equipment fleet Monitor performance standards and ensure employee performance meets standards Conduct annual performance reviews Coach and mentor crew members Regular and predictable attendance Maintain confidentiality with sensitive issues Other projects as directed Comply with company drug and alcohol policy

QUALIFICATIONS/KNOWLEDGE/SKILL/ABILITY

High school diploma or GED

Valid Wyoming driver s license in good standing Minimum of five (5) years mining experience in an Operations supervisor role Wyoming Mine Foreman Certification Computer knowledge that includes Microsoft Office software applications Good communications skills, speaking, written and presentation skills. Demonstrated excellent coaching skills Strong organizational skills Demonstrated skills in interpersonal relationship development

PREFERRED

BS degree in Mining, Business, Engineering or related field
