Associate Project Manager

job summary:
An Associate Project Manager for a medical devices and equipment manufacturing company is needed. Remote work. This role requires a Bachelor's degree and at least 6 years of experience in transformation or supply chain environments to lead the cross-functional integration of an acquired site, specifically focusing on developing detailed work breakdown structures, managing critical path schedules, and guiding stakeholder communication through the transition.

responsibilities:
Program and Project Leadership:

  • Lead cross-functional planning and execution activities for the acquisition integration project.

  • Partner closely with Global Procurement and GPC leadership to ensure alignment.

  • Define integration scope, deliverables, timelines, and success metrics.

  • Develop comprehensive project plans that include all tasks, owners, dependencies, and milestones.

  • Monitor programs and workstreams from initiation through completion to ensure they remain on schedule and within budget.
Program Scheduling and Work Breakdown:

  • Develop and maintain detailed program schedules, including critical paths and long-term timelines.

  • Build and manage Work Breakdown Structures (WBS), taxonomy documentation, and Gantt charts.

  • Analyze schedule risks and critical path impacts to identify issues early.

  • Implement mitigation actions to address project delays or risks.
Stakeholder Engagement and Communication:

  • Develop and execute stakeholder engagement plans to ensure transparency and alignment.

  • Facilitate cross-functional meetings, steering committee updates, and status reviews.

  • Act as the primary interface between Global Procurement, GPC Costa Rica, and internal customers.

  • Ensure timely communication across all functions affected by the acquisition transition.
Operational and Team Leadership:

  • Provide leadership to direct reports and cross-functional contributors supporting transition activities.

  • Clearly define roles, responsibilities, and expectations for all integration workstreams.

  • Guide team performance, workload planning, and prioritization throughout the transition.
Qualifications:

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent required.

  • Minimum of 6 or more years of experience in project or program management.

  • Preferred experience within transformation, integration, or supply chain environments.
Technical Skills:

  • Proven ability to lead complex, cross-functional initiatives.

  • Expertise in working with Work Breakdown Structures (WBS), Gantt charts, and critical path methodology.

Soft Skills and Competencies:

  • strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence across functions and levels.

  • Ability to resolve complex issues with limited guidance.
