We are looking for a dependable, detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Part-Time Tether Installer / Office Support Technician. This role involves installing electronic monitoring devices (such as GPS tethers and alcohol monitors) — including inside the county jail — and supporting basic office functions such as answering phones and cleaning equipment. This is an excellent opportunity for someone interested in the criminal justice or public safety field.

Schedule:

• Part-Time: Monday through Friday
• 1:00 PM – 5:00 PM

Key Responsibilities:

• Install and remove electronic monitoring devices (e.g., GPS tethers, SCRAM devices) for court-ordered individuals.
• Conduct installations in both the office and within the county jail setting.
• Clearly explain equipment usage and responsibilities to clients.
• Clean, disinfect, and reset returned devices for future use.
• Answer phones, assist with scheduling, and respond to general inquiries.
• Perform basic data entry and maintain accurate documentation.
• Support office cleanliness and organization.
• Report inventory or equipment concerns to supervisors.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be comfortable working in a jail environment.
• Must be able to pass a background check and jail clearance process.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to follow procedures and handle confidential information.
• Basic computer proficiency.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift/carry small equipment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior experience in criminal justice, law enforcement, or a related field.
• Familiarity with electronic monitoring technology (a plus, not required).
• Bilingual language skills are a plus.

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
