Emergency Room Nurse Job Details

• Location: Iron Mountain, MI 49801 – Michigan healthcare jobs in a friendly town surrounded by scenic forests, lakes, and outdoor recreation.
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks
• Start Date: September 15, 2025
• End Date: December 15, 2025
• Shifts: 3x12-hour rotating shifts per week (day and night shifts available; start times: 7a, 10a, 3p, 7p; no more than 2 different start times per week)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Weekend Coverage: Every other weekend required
• Setting: Emergency Department (T-System documentation)
• On-Site Position
• Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $2,090 - $2,140

ER Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of recent emergency room nursing experience
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Michigan
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (AHA required)
• Travel nursing experience required
• TNCC certification preferred
• Ability to float within the hospital as needed
• Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
• Fingerprinting required for Michigan nursing jobs

ER Nurse Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, compassionate patient care in a fast-paced emergency department
• Perform bedside shift reporting (BSSR), utilize AIDET communication, and conduct hourly rounding
• Manage patients with multisystem organ dysfunction/failure
• Administer emergency medications, blood products, and IV vasopressors
• Interpret and manage dysrhythmias, obtain 12-lead EKGs, and perform phlebotomy
• Apply and manage arterial and central lines, splints, and other emergency procedures
• Document all care accurately using T-System
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including respiratory therapy, radiology, pharmacy, and social services
• Float to other hospital units as required
