You will take ownership of demanding assignments in EV Charging projects within the automotive and energy industry . Your responsibilities will span diverse areas, with the specific tasks depending on client needs and your individual strengths. They will include some of the following but not all within the same project:

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

  • Lead and support consulting, engineering, and testing projects across the electric mobility ecosystem, working with clients such as charge point operators, utilities, platform providers, hardware manufacturers, and automotive OEMs.
  • Advise clients on the development and validation of new hardware components, ensuring alignment with market needs and regulatory standards.
  • Coordinate and analyze charging tests and system behavior using electric vehicles, translating technical findings into strategic recommendations.
  • Provide software implementation support, helping clients integrate new features and functionalities into their EV charging platforms.
  • Drive system integration efforts, ensuring seamless interoperability between hardware, software, and backend systems.
  • Conduct market analyses and competitive benchmarks, identifying trends, opportunities, and positioning strategies.
  • Deliver business model evaluations and strategy consulting, helping clients shape their offerings and scale effectively.
  • Manage and support the rollout of EV charging infrastructure, including planning, stakeholder coordination, and performance tracking.
  • Apply data analytics to improve operational excellence, uncover insights, and optimize system performance.
  • Solve emerging challenges from both a technical and economic perspective, balancing innovation with feasibility and cost-effectiveness.
  • Contribute to business development, including client discussions, proposal creation, and tailored solution design.
  • Collaborate closely with our international EV Charging & Smart Energy team, sharing knowledge and driving innovation.
  • Work directly with clients in on-site and remote settings, building trusted relationships and delivering high-impact results.
  • Take ownership of project management responsibilities, ensuring timely delivery, quality outcomes, and client satisfaction.

WHO YOU ARE:

  • You hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in an engineering or science discipline - electrical engineering preferred. Additional coursework in business, energy economics, or mobility is a plus.
  • You bring 2-7 years of professional experience in the electric mobility ecosystem, ideally with charge point operators, hardware manufacturers, or platform providers.
  • You have a strong understanding of the EV charging landscape in the U.S., including key technologies, software platforms, and major ecosystem players. You stay up to date with emerging trends and innovations.
  • You possess deep technical knowledge of charging technologies, and are familiar with relevant protocols and standards such as OCPP, PKI, ISO 15118, DIN, and OCPI.
  • You have a working knowledge of U.S. energy markets, including applicable regulations, codes, and standards (e.g., NEC, metering laws, building codes)—or are eager to deepen your expertise in this area.
  • You combine technical expertise with a strategic mindset, enabling you to translate complex challenges into actionable solutions for clients.
  • You have a project management mind-set to lead client projects.
  • You show strong problem-solving abilities and time management skills to help drive solutions.
  • You have excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • You are self-motivated and driven with entrepreneurial spirit.
  • You are willing to travel.
  • You are legally authorized to work in the US.
