Salary Range: $69,000 - $108,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize mechanical designs for new and existing products.
• Create detailed CAD models, assemblies, and engineering drawings conforming to industry standards.
• Perform engineering calculations, simulations (e.g., FEA), and analyses to validate design integrity and performance.
• Select appropriate materials, components, and manufacturing processes for cost-effective and robust production.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, production, and quality teams to ensure design for manufacturability and assembly.
• Design, build, and test prototypes to validate functionality, performance, and reliability.
• Prepare and maintain comprehensive design documentation, including specifications, BOMs, and technical reports.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, or a related field.
• Proficiency in CAD software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, CATIA, or PTC Creo.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes (e.g., machining, injection molding, sheet metal fabrication).
• Demonstrated knowledge of DFM/DFA (Design for Manufacturability/Assembly) principles and material selection.
• Experience with prototyping, testing, and validation of mechanical designs.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) principles.
• Proficiency in Finite Element Analysis (FEA) or other simulation software.
• Familiarity with rapid prototyping techniques (e.g., 3D printing).
• Understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
