Who We Are Looking For

Slate’s Strategic Finance team is seeking a Senior Corporate Development Analyst to support the development and execution of the company’s long-term strategy and financial plan. This role partners closely with functional leaders across the organization to translate strategic priorities into actionable financial insights.

You will play a key role in operating Slate’s Long-Range Planning (LRP) process, developing a deep understanding of the business while supporting strategic initiatives and partnerships across the value chain. The ideal candidate is analytical, collaborative, and comfortable navigating ambiguity in a fast-paced environment.

What You’ll Do

  • Own and continuously refine the Long-Range Planning (LRP) process, ensuring it is scalable, repeatable, and aligned with business priorities
  • Partner with functional leaders to optimize revenue, operating expenses, capital spending, and workforce planning, driving informed trade-off decisions
  • Launch, manage, and evolve a portfolio of strategic initiatives and partnerships that support product launch and long-term growth
  • Deliver high-impact financial analysis and recommendations on business strategy, capital allocation, organizational design, and resource prioritization
  • Clearly narrate and visualize financial performance, linking changes in forecasts to operational drivers and key performance metrics
  • Partner closely with Corporate FP&A to align near-term forecasts with the long-range financial plan
  • Support fundraising and investor relations activities, including financial diligence, scenario analysis, and ad-hoc executive and investor requests
  • Lead ad-hoc analyses and special projects, operating effectively in ambiguity while driving solutions
  • Manage cross-functional workstreams and influence stakeholders without direct authority

What You Bring

  • 5+ years of experience in investment banking, private equity, corporate development, or strategic finance
  • Experience supporting industrial and/or technology companies preferred
  • Advanced financial modeling skills with significant daily use of Excel
  • Experience with Adaptive Insights or similar EPM tools preferred
  • Proven ability to manage cross-functional projects or transactions
  • Strong attention to detail and high standards for analytical and written work
  • Excellent communication skills across all organizational levels, including executive leadership and Board-level audiences
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment; willingness to travel as needed
  • Bachelor’s degree required
