Incoming Inspection Technician | Hart, MI
Salary Range: $48,000 - $72,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities
- Perform visual, dimensional, and functional inspections of incoming materials, components, and sub-assemblies against specifications and drawings.
- Verify accompanying documentation (e.g., Certificates of Conformance, material certifications, test reports) for accuracy and completeness.
- Utilize various precision measuring tools and equipment (calipers, micrometers, gauges) to ensure compliance.
- Accurately record and document all inspection results, identifying and reporting any non-conformances.
- Isolate and quarantine non-conforming materials, initiating Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and collaborating with relevant departments for disposition.
- Maintain and calibrate inspection tools and equipment according to established schedules and and procedures.
- Communicate effectively with purchasing, engineering, and suppliers regarding material quality issues and discrepancies.
Recommended Qualifications
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications (including GD&T).
- Demonstrated skill in using various precision measuring instruments (e.g., calipers, micrometers, height gauges, optical comparators).
- Familiarity with quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001) and quality control procedures.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to identify visual and dimensional non-conformances.
- Proficient in basic computer skills for data entry, record keeping, and using quality software.
Bonus Qualifications
- ASQ Certified Quality Technician (CQT) certification.
- Experience with ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP QM module).
- Proficiency in advanced GD&T interpretation.
- Basic understanding of Statistical Process Control (SPC) methods.
- IPC-A-610 or J-STD-001 certification.
