Program Manager for Education Technology

Bachelor’s degree in education, instructional design, educational technology learning technologies, or related field. Advanced degree, preferred.
The person in this position will manage a multi-project portfolio working with subject-matter experts (SMEs) to develop and revise resources and curricula that adhere to pedagogical and andragogical standards for both instructor-facing e-learning strategies and engaging in-person delivery to program participants.
- Simultaneously manages multiple education and technology projects coordinating timelines, deliverables, and stakeholder input to ensure successful completion of projects.
- Applies instructional design best practices to support the creation of engaging and effective educational programs to enhance retention and improve the learning experience for both educators and learners.
- Creates and updates program resources including design and formatting.
- Works closely with SMEs to identify audience needs, create engaging content, and ensure programs and delivery methods are appropriate for varied audiences and aligned with current education standards where applicable.
- Translates education materials into compelling digital content for educators and supports training and technical assistance to ensure program compliance.
- Manages education technology platforms including learning management systems and web solutions for education programs.
- Drives continuous improvement by using evaluation findings to update program resources and content.
- Maintains the digital presence of online resources and provides support for problem resolution and fixes to ensure user access to program content.
- Designs for a wide range of media including audio, video, web, social media, smartphones, tablets, etc. to support access for varied audiences.
- Integrates and complies with ADA, Section 508, and WCAG standards, as appropriate to accommodate a wide range of user abilities.
- Develops interactive eLearning courses with rapid eLearning authoring tools such as the Articulate 360 suite of apps for professional educators and LearnWorlds.
- Engages with organizations on behalf of MFF including participation in coalitions or professional groups.
- Performs other duties and responsibilities as required or assigned.
- 3+ years of experience in instructional design, educational technology, or similar field desired.
- Prior experience in the field of education a plus.
- Interest in nutrition, physical activity, and/or public health a plus.
- Detail-oriented problem solver with excellent interpersonal skills and a track record of optimizing instructional technology.
- Strong course development software skills, visual and UX design skills.
- Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and website design best practices.
- Ability to or willingness to learn how to program interactive courses (branching, interactions, gamification, etc.) that enhance eLearning. Knowledge of Articulate 360 and LearnWorlds a plus.
- Understanding of graphic design principles and working knowledge of Canva.
- Strong technical writing skills and editorial eye for a variety of audiences.
- Highly organized with the ability to manage a portfolio of competing projects.
- Ability to effectively work independently or on a team as a member or lead.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with diverse stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
- Ability to learn new systems efficiently and adapt to new standards and practices.
- Excellent planning and time-management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Knowledge of health and physical education standards a plus.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Talking - expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word to impart oral information to others accurately (4-6 hours daily).
- Hearing – perceiving the nature of sound by the ear (4-6 hours daily).
- Sitting – remain in a seated position (6-8 hours daily).
- Standing – remaining on one’s feet in an upright position at a workstation without moving about (1-2 hours daily).
- Walking - remaining on one’s feet moving around the building without sitting (1-2 hours daily).
- Handling – seizing, holding, grasping, turning, or otherwise working with hand or hands (6-8 hours daily).
- Lifting – raising or lowering an object under 50 lbs. from one position to another (infrequently).
- Office Environment – general office work environment (6-8 hours daily).
- Travel - travel required by car, train, and/or plane domestically (up to 10% annually).
- Paid time off starting at four weeks for a calendar year, pro-rated based on start date.
- Fourteen paid holidays and a paid winter break office closure in late December.

- Must be able to frequently remain in a stationary position as well as move about in the course of general duties.
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
- Will work in usual office working conditions where noise level in the work area is typical of most office environments with telephones, personal interruptions, and background noises.
- Have a valid driver’s license and be able to provide proof of current, valid auto insurance (preferred but not required).
