CNC Machine Operator – 2nd & 3rd Shift
Location: Shelby Township, MI
Pay Rate: $18.50 – $19.50 per hour

Contract to start with direct hire conversion possible

Schedule Options:

• 2nd Shift: Monday–Friday, 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM

• 3rd Shift: Sunday–Thursday, 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM

Position Summary:
We are seeking dedicated Operators to support production in a high-volume manufacturing environment. Operators will run machines, perform inspections, maintain equipment, and ensure consistent quality and efficient operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Load raw parts into the manufacturing cell.

• Maintain scrap bins, chip hoppers, and machine fluids (coolants, lubes).

• Perform routine machine cleaning, including sweeping, mopping, and filter changes.

• Run production parts and CMM programs as required.

• Inspect parts at required intervals and respond to dimensional trends.

• Record dimensional data and track process capability.

• Complete production and downtime reporting.

• Adjust machine settings or change tools based on part measurements or schedules.

• Perform titrations and adjust concentrations for coolants and wash solutions.

• Monitor machine operation to detect and address malfunctions.

• Support continuous improvement initiatives.

• Perform basic machine maintenance per instructions.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience as a CNC Machine Operator in a manufacturing environment
• Familiarity with FANUC controls
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
• Proficient with precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, gauges, etc.)
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
• Knowledge of preventative maintenance practices
• Experience with PLEX software a plus
• Willingness to train on 1st shift before moving to assigned shift
