Key Job Details – Michigan Nursing Jobs Location: Allegan, MI (49010) – 1 day/week at Beacon Dowagiac Assignment Length: 13 weeks Start Date: August 18, 2025 Shift: 4x9.5-hour day shifts (07:00 – 16:30), Monday-Friday Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours/week Estimated Weekly Pay: $2100–$2150 Healthcare Setting: Pre/Post-Op, PACU, Circulating Scrub Color: Provided Charting Systems: Paragon & Cerner EMR Floating: Required – 1 day/week at Beacon Dowagiac, 3 days/week at Beacon Allegan Weekend/Call: No weekends or call required PACU RN Qualifications Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (Michigan or compact; pending accepted, must be active by start date) Minimum 1 year of recent PACU, Pre/Post-Op, or Circulating RN experience ACLS and BLS certifications (pending accepted, must be obtained prior to start) Previous charge nurse experience required Experience with Cerner charting preferred Must reside at least 50 miles from facility (no local candidates) COVID-19 and Flu vaccines required (medical/religious exemptions considered) Willingness to float between Allegan and Dowagiac healthcare locations Completion of up to 8 hours of pre-start modules (self-reported) PACU Nurse Responsibilities Deliver comprehensive nursing care to adult and geriatric patients in Pre-Op, PACU, and Post-Op settings Circulate in the operating room as needed Administer and monitor conscious and procedural sedation Perform medication reconciliation, pain assessment, and pain management Interpret and communicate lab values, initiate IVs, and manage emergency medications Educate patients and families on pre- and post-operative care Maintain accurate documentation using Paragon and Cerner electronic medical records Assist with department needs including cleaning and supply management Float to Beacon Dowagiac one day per week as part of the travel nursing assignment Allegan, MI, offers a welcoming small-town atmosphere with easy access to outdoor recreation, charming shops, and local eateries.
