Inventory Control Manager | Battle Creek, MI

Salary Range: $79,000 - $119,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement inventory control procedures to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
• Manage and optimize inventory levels to meet production demands while minimizing costs and waste.
• Oversee regular cycle counts and annual physical inventories, investigating and resolving discrepancies.
• Analyze inventory data to identify trends, root causes of issues, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure data integrity within the ERP/MRP system for all inventory transactions and movements.
• Collaborate with production, purchasing, and warehousing departments to align inventory strategies and forecasts.
• Lead, train, and mentor inventory control staff, fostering a culture of accuracy and accountability.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field.
• 5+ years of progressive experience in inventory control or supply chain management within a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and warehouse management systems (WMS).
• Demonstrated expertise in inventory forecasting, demand planning, cycle counting, and inventory optimization techniques.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and implement data-driven solutions.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills with a proven ability to manage and develop a team.

Bonus Qualifications

• APICS Certification (e.g., CPIM, CSCP)
• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification
• Advanced proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., SQL, Power BI, Python)
• Experience with WMS (Warehouse Management System) implementation or optimization
• Familiarity with RFID or other advanced inventory tracking technologies
