Salary Range: $51,000 - $78,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Perform calibration, maintenance, and repair of various measurement equipment and gauges.
• Conduct precise dimensional inspections of manufactured components and assemblies using a variety of metrology tools.
• Operate and program Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs), optical comparators, and other advanced inspection systems.
• Interpret complex engineering drawings, blueprints, and Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) specifications.
• Maintain accurate calibration records, documentation, and traceability for all measurement instruments.
• Troubleshoot measurement discrepancies and assist in root cause analysis for quality-related issues.
• Develop and implement new measurement methods and procedures to improve inspection accuracy and efficiency.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proficiency in operating and programming various metrology equipment (e.g., CMM, optical comparators, calipers, micrometers).
• Strong ability to read and interpret engineering blueprints, including Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
• Experience with data collection, analysis, and basic statistical process control (SPC) principles.
• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot measurement discrepancies and identify root causes.
• Associate's degree in a technical field or equivalent practical experience in a manufacturing quality role.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with CMM programming software (e.g., PC-DMIS, Calypso, MCOSMOS)
• Proficiency in statistical analysis software (e.g., Minitab, JMP) and Statistical Process Control (SPC) principles
• Familiarity with CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, CATIA) for model review or fixture design
• Basic troubleshooting and maintenance skills for metrology equipment
