Salary Range: $128,000 - $179,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We partner with manufacturers across Charlotte seeking Controllers who want more than a lateral move. These companies hire intentionally, and we connect them with professionals ready for roles that fit.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all financial reporting, general ledger operations, and month-end close processes.
• Direct and enhance cost accounting activities, including standard costing, variance analysis, and inventory valuation.
• Lead the annual budgeting, forecasting, and long-range financial planning processes.
• Develop and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure financial data integrity.
• Provide insightful financial analysis to support operational decision-making and drive cost efficiencies in production.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP, tax regulations, and other statutory reporting requirements.
• Manage cash flow, working capital, and treasury functions to optimize liquidity.

Recommended Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience, with significant time in a manufacturing environment
• Extensive expertise in cost accounting, inventory valuation, and variance analysis specific to manufacturing operations
• Proficiency with major ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics) and advanced data analysis tools
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) designation highly preferred
• Strong understanding of GAAP, internal controls, and financial reporting within a manufacturing context

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience designing and implementing financial dashboards using business intelligence (BI) tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
• Proven ability to financially support and drive Lean or Continuous Improvement initiatives.
• Prior experience with financial due diligence and integration for mergers or acquisitions.
• Exposure to international financial reporting standards (IFRS) or multi-currency operations.
