Engineering manager

Metro Engineering Solutions, LLC has an available position of Engineering Manager in Northville, MI. Although the Engineering Manager will work in Northville, MI, the Engineering Manager will be required to travel 30% of working time to client project sites throughout the state of MI. Position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering 48 months experience as a Mechanical Engineer &/or Product Engineer (internship &/or cooperative education assignments acceptable). Position also requires: Exp. must include: 1) 48 mos. exp. designing district regulator stations & metering/gate stations for natural gas utilities; 2) 36mos. exp. obtaining railroad permits for utility projects; 3) 24 mos. exp. coordinating easement acquisitions for utility projects; 4) 36 mos. exp. designing underground power distribution system(s); & 5) 24 mos. exp. developing & maintaining project schedules in Primavera P6. Exp. reqs. may be met concurrently during the same time period. Job duties: Manage & direct project teams responsible for gas & electric distribution projects including applying for & obtaining permit(s) including railroad permits. Direct coordination of easement acquisitions for utility projects. Review & approve timesheets. Lead project meetings with internal & external stakeholders. Review client requests, develop proposal/cost estimates, & manage project schedules using Primavera P6. Develop new clients. Review engineering plans & perform quality control checks. Work with accounting teams on invoicing & financial reporting. Supervise 3 to 8 Metro Engineering Solutions engineers including mechanical & civil engineers. Train new engineers & project managers. We maintain a drug-free workplace & perform pre-employment substance abuse testing. Pay: $94,377.20 - $113,658.55 per year
