The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing routine and preventive maintenance tasks on machinery, and equipment to ensure optimal performance and longevity. This role supports the overall maintenance program by identifying wear and tear, reporting potential issues, and maintaining accurate service records and other jobs assigned by the department manager. SUMMARY:
In this position, you'll be responsible for keeping the facility operating and repairing any problems when they are discovered before they have a chance to worsen. The Maintenance Technician will perform a wide range of repair tasks around a facility to ensure optimal machinery and play a major role in operating a safe environment and ensuring compliance with all rules and regulations.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- Able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Operate with a sense of positive energy and urgency.
- Ability to work effectively in both a team and autonomous environment.
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Previous maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment is required.
- Strong mechanical aptitude, electrical aptitude (desired), and manufacturing processes and equipment repair.
- Able to adapt to the company’s culture, work safely, and possess a positive attitude.

YOUR ROLE:
- Communicating and working with other maintenance and production personnel to accomplish all maintenance and repair tasks in a timely and safe manner.
- Perform scheduled lubrication of mechanical components including bearings, gears, chains, and motors.
- Conduct visual inspections during preventive maintenance to identify leaks, unusual noises, or signs of wear.
- Maintain lubrication schedules and service logs for all equipment.
- Complete repairs and adjustments as needed.
- Monitor and replenish lubricant inventory; ensure proper storage and handling.
- Operate grease guns, oilers, and other lubrication tools safely and effectively.
- Follow all safety protocols and wear appropriate PPE during maintenance activities.
- Communicate equipment issues to the maintenance team for further diagnosis or repair.
- Perform the required routine maintenance and tasks to keep equipment safe, functional, and efficient by executing preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance actions.
- Learn and demonstrate competency in maintaining and troubleshooting processes and repairing mechanical and electrical malfunctions breakdowns and equipment to progress through training programs.
- Demonstrates proper use of equipment, observing all safety procedures and policies. This includes but is not limited to: All designated PPE, lockout/tagout, and other requirements of working on equipment.
- Participate in all on-site training per the direction of management.
- Assists in the basic testing/troubleshooting of facility systems, including but not limited to fire alarms, exit door alarms, and emergency and exit lighting.
- Ground maintenance occasionally as required.
- Complete all assigned work orders within the time allotted.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
The physical requirements described here are representative of those that must be met by an individual to successfully perform the essential functions of this position.
- The ability to lift (from floor to waist level), push, and pull 50 pounds.
- The ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time on concrete surfaces with regular periods of stooping, bending, or sitting.
