Calibration Technician | Ludington, MI
Salary Range: $45,000 - $70,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities
- Perform accurate calibrations on a wide range of measurement and test equipment.
- Maintain and update detailed calibration records, certificates, and equipment histories.
- Troubleshoot and repair malfunctioning instrumentation and test equipment.
- Adhere strictly to established calibration procedures, quality standards, and safety regulations.
- Utilize primary and secondary calibration standards to ensure measurement traceability.
- Identify and report out-of-tolerance conditions, initiating corrective actions as needed.
- Schedule and coordinate external calibration services for specialized equipment.
Recommended Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Metrology, Electronics, or a related technical field, or equivalent experience.
- Strong understanding of measurement principles, calibration standards, and metrology best practices.
- Proficiency in operating and troubleshooting a wide range of test and measurement equipment (e.g., electrical, mechanical, pressure).
- Demonstrated ability to accurately document calibration data, maintain records, and adhere to quality procedures (e.g., ISO 17025).
- Solid mathematical and analytical skills for data interpretation, unit conversions, and uncertainty analysis.
Bonus Qualifications
- Experience with calibration management software (e.g., Blue Mountain RAM, IndySoft).
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma principles.
- Ability to interpret and modify technical drawings or schematics.
- Experience in a highly regulated manufacturing environment (e.g., medical device, aerospace, pharmaceutical).
