Calibration Technician | Ludington, MI

Salary Range: $45,000 - $70,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Perform accurate calibrations on a wide range of measurement and test equipment.
• Maintain and update detailed calibration records, certificates, and equipment histories.
• Troubleshoot and repair malfunctioning instrumentation and test equipment.
• Adhere strictly to established calibration procedures, quality standards, and safety regulations.
• Utilize primary and secondary calibration standards to ensure measurement traceability.
• Identify and report out-of-tolerance conditions, initiating corrective actions as needed.
• Schedule and coordinate external calibration services for specialized equipment.

Recommended Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Metrology, Electronics, or a related technical field, or equivalent experience.
• Strong understanding of measurement principles, calibration standards, and metrology best practices.
• Proficiency in operating and troubleshooting a wide range of test and measurement equipment (e.g., electrical, mechanical, pressure).
• Demonstrated ability to accurately document calibration data, maintain records, and adhere to quality procedures (e.g., ISO 17025).
• Solid mathematical and analytical skills for data interpretation, unit conversions, and uncertainty analysis.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with calibration management software (e.g., Blue Mountain RAM, IndySoft).
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma principles.
• Ability to interpret and modify technical drawings or schematics.
• Experience in a highly regulated manufacturing environment (e.g., medical device, aerospace, pharmaceutical).
