Position Summary
The HR Generalist (12-Month Contract) will play a key role in supporting the Human Resources function at DeWys Manufacturing. This contract role provides HR support across a variety of functions including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, compliance, benefits administration, and HR project support. The HR Generalist (12-Month Contract) will be instrumental in maintaining a positive and productive workplace culture during a period of strategic workforce development.
Duties & Responsibilities
Talent Acquisition & Onboarding
• Partner with hiring managers to assess staffing needs and post job openings.
• Review resumes, conduct phone screens, and coordinate interviews.
• Facilitate onboarding and orientation for new hires.
Employee Relations & Engagement
• Support employee relations efforts by addressing concerns, promoting positive culture, and documenting resolutions.
• Assist with initiatives that enhance employee engagement and retention.
• Conduct exit interviews and analyze turnover data.
• Assist with benefits administration and open enrollment.
• Support compliance with employment laws, company policies, and safety regulations.
• Maintain confidential employee records and ensure data accuracy.
• Support performance management cycles and training coordination.
HR Operations & Project Support
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on HR and safety projects.
• Generate reports and assist with HRIS updates and documentation.

Required:
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management or equivalent.
• 1–3 years of HR Admin and/or HR Generalist experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Working knowledge of labor laws and HR best practices.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
• Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
Preferred:
• Experience with Paylocity or similar HRIS systems.
• Bilingual in English/Spanish.
• Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
