Busy, fast-paced specialty medical practice seeking an experienced Medical Assistant who is professional, efficient, dependable, and able to thrive in a high-volume clinical setting. We are looking for a strong candidate who can multitask, move with urgency, and maintain accuracy under pressure.

This is not an entry-level position . Only candidates with recent hands-on experience in a medical office will be considered.

Requirements

• 5+ years of Medical Assistant experience (pain management or procedure-based practice required)
• Medical Assistant Diploma or Certification
• Proficiency in Electronic Health Record (EHR) documentation (preferably Eclinical Works)
• Posses dependability and professional skills
• Experience in managing ICD coding for accurate diagnosis documentation and billing processes
• Experience in setting up and assisting Providers with in-office injections (i.e. trigger point injections and steroid injections)
• Ability to work efficiently in a high-volume, fast-paced environment, and prioritization skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform advanced clinical Medical Assistant duties , including rooming, vitals, assisting providers, and procedure preparation
• Maintain narcotic and DEA compliance documentation
• Strong knowledge of blood thinners/anticoagulants , including screening patients for blood thinner use
• Experience obtaining and tracking medical clearances to hold blood thinners prior to procedures
• Update EHR with medication changes, procedure notes, and pain assessment tools
• Manage Medical Assistant voicemail , medical clearances, and paperwork workflows
• Coordinate and locate imaging and diagnostic testing (e.g., MRIs, EMGs)
• Assist with interventional pain procedures (e.g., trigger point injections and joint injections)
• Provide professional, empathetic care to patients with chronic and complex pain conditions
