Salary Range: $78,000 - $123,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local EHS regulations and company policies.
• Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive EHS programs, policies, and procedures.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate environmental, health, and safety risks and hazards across the manufacturing site.
• Lead incident investigations, root cause analysis, and implement effective corrective and preventive actions.
• Develop and deliver EHS training programs to all employees, contractors, and visitors.
• Conduct regular EHS audits, inspections, and assessments to drive continuous improvement.
• Manage hazardous waste streams and ensure proper handling, storage, and disposal of all regulated materials.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Engineering, or a related scientific/technical field.
• 5-7+ years of progressive EHS management experience within a manufacturing environment.
• Demonstrated expertise in interpreting and applying federal, state, and local EHS regulations (e.g., OSHA, EPA).
• Proven experience developing, implementing, and managing EHS programs and management systems (e.g., ISO 14001, ISO 45001).
• Strong leadership, communication, and training skills with the ability to influence safety culture.
• Relevant professional certifications such as CSP (Certified Safety Professional) or CHMM (Certified Hazardous Materials Manager).

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience integrating EHS into Lean manufacturing or continuous improvement initiatives.
• Proficiency with EHS management software platforms (e.g., Intelex, Cority, Enablon) and data analytics for trend identification.
• Demonstrated experience in developing and managing robust Workers' Compensation programs and return-to-work strategies.
• Experience with ISO 14001 Environmental Management Systems and/or ISO 45001 Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems.
