• Location: Marquette, MI 49855 (Upper Peninsula)
• Facility: Level II Trauma Center, 24-bed Intensive Care Unit
• Employment Type: Locum Tenens / Travel Nursing Contract
• Start Date: September 29, 2025
• End Date: December 29, 2025
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00pm – 7:00am)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Electronic Health Record: Cerner
• Scrub Colors: Galaxy, Royal, or Navy Blue
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $2250 - $2310

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active RN license (Registered Nurse)
• Minimum 2 years of recent ICU nursing experience
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or higher
• Experience caring for vented ICU patients
• Ability to float to other hospital units as needed
• Strong teamwork and communication skills

ICU Nurse Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to critically ill adult patients in a Level II Trauma ICU
• Monitor and manage patients using advanced clinical equipment: Baxter IV pumps, Omnicell, Prisma Flex CRRT, Impella, IABP, EVDs, bolt monitoring, ventilators, BiPAP, and high-flow oxygen
• Care for patients with complex diagnoses including post-open heart, heart failure, respiratory failure, trauma, surgical ICU, post-stroke, post-craniotomy, and septic shock
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to optimize patient outcomes
• Float to IMCU and other units as needed (rotation with travel nurses)
• Maintain accurate patient documentation in Cerner EHR
