We are looking for an experienced Legal Secretary to join our team in Milford, Michigan. This is a part-time Contract-to-permanent position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to a dynamic legal environment by providing administrative support and ensuring smooth operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills and a thorough understanding of legal processes.
Responsibilities:
• Prepare, organize, and file legal documents, including e-filing and court submissions, ensuring accuracy and deadlines are met.
• Manage calendars and schedules for attorneys, coordinating appointments and court dates effectively.
• Handle dictation tasks, transcribing legal correspondence and documents with precision.
• Maintain communication with clients and court personnel, ensuring all necessary information is relayed.
• Assist with administrative tasks such as drafting correspondence, maintaining records, and organizing files.
• Monitor and update case information in the relevant systems, ensuring all data is current.
• Ensure compliance with legal procedures and filing requirements.
• Support attorneys with research and preparation for cases.
• Coordinate and manage deadlines for various legal matters.
• Provide general office support, including answering phones and responding to inquiries.
• Proven experience as a Legal Secretary or similar role.
• Proficiency in e-filing and court filing processes.
• Strong skills in calendar management and scheduling.
• Ability to transcribe dictation accurately and efficiently.
• Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Familiarity with legal terminology and procedures.
• Proficiency in office software and tools relevant to legal work.
After initial training period this opportunity can move to a hybrid role
