Salary Range: $50,000 - $80,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor EDM (Electrical Discharge Machining) equipment for precision manufacturing.
• Set up workpieces, electrodes, and tooling according to job specifications and blueprints.
• Load, verify, and adjust EDM programs and parameters for optimal machining performance.
• Perform in-process and final quality inspections of machined parts using precision measuring tools.
• Conduct routine maintenance, cleaning, and basic troubleshooting of EDM machines.
• Maintain accurate production records, logs, and material usage documentation.
• Adhere to safety protocols and quality standards throughout the EDM process.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proven experience operating Wire and/or Sinker EDM machines.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering blueprints, schematics, and G-code.
• Proficiency in using precision measuring instruments (e.g., micrometers, calipers, optical comparators).
• Strong mechanical aptitude for machine setup, tooling, and fixture alignment.
• Basic understanding of EDM principles, electrode selection, and material properties.
• Commitment to maintaining quality standards and adhering to safety protocols.

Bonus Qualifications

• Proficiency in interpreting complex engineering drawings, including advanced GD&T.
• Experience with CMM or other advanced metrology equipment for part validation.
• Basic understanding of CAD/CAM software for program review or minor adjustments.
• Demonstrated ability to perform minor machine maintenance and troubleshooting.
